The Youth Organisation Database in Africa (YODA) is a flagship component of YouthHubAfrica’s Youth Ecosystem Strengthening Programme, launched in May 2026 to strengthen the capacity, sustainability, and visibility of youth-led and youth-serving organisations. The initiative responds to an increasingly challenging funding environment, where organisations need strong institutional systems, strategic alignment, and the ability to demonstrate sustainable impact.

YODA brings organisations together through physical and virtual engagements that provide practical guidance on grant seeking, organisational development, resource mobilisation, and sustainable growth. The initiative also creates opportunities for organisations to connect, share knowledge, access funding and learning opportunities, and build partnerships within the youth ecosystem.

Beginning with organisations across all 36 states of Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), YODA aims to build a stronger and more connected ecosystem of youth organisations. As the initiative continues to grow, it seeks to increase organisational capacity and visibility while strengthening youth-led contributions to governance, accountability, and sustainable development across Nigeria and Africa.
