Youth Foundation for Development, Education & Leadership (YouthhubAfrica) is a non-profit organization founded in 2011. YouthhubAfrica is a platform for young people in Africa involved in social change to interact, learn and collaborate in new, creative and easy ways. It was registered in Nigeria with the CAC in 2014. YHA is a youth advocacy and policy-oriented organization based in Abuja, Nigeria, but programming into Africa and beyond.

The organization has worked with stakeholders to provide advisory and technical support for development communications, the use of social media to drive advocacy and campaigns as well as structuring youth engagements on a national and regional level. In line with this principle, YHA has staff and volunteers, who are mainly young people, working at the headquarters in Abuja, and with volunteer presence in Lagos, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Ghana.

YouthhubAfrica started by building a blog profiling opportunities for young Africans including scholarships, conferences, workshops, news items, articles and events that can contribute to youth development. Over the last five years, the blog has grown to become one of the largest youth development platforms on the African continent reaching directly over 101,000 young Africans who have signed up on, and interact with its social media channels.

By forging alliances with like-minded organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders, the organization can leverage resources, share expertise, and amplify its impact. Collaborative efforts enable YouthHubAfrica to reach a wider audience and effectively address youth challenges.

Online Campaign

To effectively influence policies and contribute to youth development, YouthHubAfrica conducts rigorous policy analysis. By examining existing policies, identifying gaps, and proposing evidence-based recommendations, the organization aims to shape youth-focused policies and advocate for necessary reforms at local, national, and regional levels.

Voluntary Services

There is no doubt that Internet Penetration and access to mobile data has greatly increased across the continent with social media evolution, recognizing the influence and reach of digital platforms, YouthHubAfrica utilizes social media and online campaigns to engage and mobilize young people. These campaigns serve as powerful tools for raising awareness, disseminating information, and rallying support for various initiatives and causes championed by the organization.

Strategic Partnership & Collaboration

Voluntarism is central to the ethos of YouthHubAfrica. Voluntary activity has been a hallmark of the ways that YHA has carried out most of its program, especially in field work.YouthHubAfrica encourages and facilitates youth participation in voluntary services. By engaging young people as volunteers, the organization not only creates opportunities for them to contribute to their communities but also fosters a sense of civic responsibility and social cohesion among youth.

Research & Surveys

YouthHubAfrica prioritizes research and information management to inform evidence-based programming and decision-making. By conducting research on pertinent youth issues, collecting data, and effectively managing information, the organization ensures that its interventions are tailored to the needs and aspirations of young people.
