Palladium SCALE Accountability for Good Governance in Education (AGGE) project
The Accountability for Good Governance in Education (AGGE) project will be implemented in four states and the FCT. The states include Ebonyi, Kwara, Kebbi, Kano, and the FCT. The overall goal of the project is to enhance good governance in the education sector through transparency and accountability in the work plan of the states’ UBEC, the disbursement and implementation of the funds received in the 5 states by the end of 2023.
The objectives of the AGGE project include
- To influence the Government at the National level to increase budgetary allocations to primary and secondary education by the end of 2023
- To facilitate the institutionalization of citizens participation and engagement in the UBE processes in 5 states by 2023
- To advocate for targeted states to increase budgetary allocation to education at primary and secondary levels including the timely release of UBE counterpart funding
YouthHubAfrica and her cluster (Accountability for Good Governance in Education Cluster) members through this project shall strengthen the AmendUBEAct campaign at the national level through the strategic engagement of relevant stakeholders and influencers. The members of this Cluster include YouthHubAfrica (Anchor Organization), Kayode Alabi Leadership and Career Initiative, Development and Integrity Intervention Goal (DIG) Foundation, Bridge Connect Africa Initiative and Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA). These organizations shall contribute their expertise in community mobilization, stakeholders’ engagement, policy review and 3rd party monitoring.
