Maurice Ongala

Maurice Ongala is a youthhubafrica correspondent for Kenya. He is a Kenyan behavioral scientist cum youth activist with particular interests and experience in youth sexual and reproductive health. Trained in Healthcare Management and Reproductive Health needs of various population strata. Ongala is also awaiting his graduation from Maseno University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropoloy with Information Technology later this year. Ongala also has a passion for international youth networking for development. He is a founder member of the African Youth Activists Network (AYAN) and has travelled vastly in Africa and Europe for this course and more. He currently works for Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) as a Research Officer. He is also a freelance writer and an established blogger. Ongala blogs at www.ongalamaurice.wordpress.com and he is in line for  his Masters Degree in Public Health, later in 2013.

Rotimi Olawale, co-founder of youthhubafrica.org is a youth development expert. For more than six years he has been involved in leading youth advocacy efforts mainly around the Millennium Development Goals. In 2006, he represented Nigeria as a youth ambassador at the United Nations Global Youth Leadership Summit held at the UN Headquarters in New York. Rotimi has held several global leadership positions including; member, UNFPA Global Youth Advisory Panel for 2 years; member, African Youth Panel. Rotimi is currently involved in shaping local, national and global policies to benefit youth and also leverage opportunities for young people. He was listed by the Nigerian government as one of 15 Nigerian youth on the world stage in 2008.
