The University of Oxford and the Rhodes Trust are inviting students from around the world to apply for fully funded Oxford University Rhodes Scholarship for 2015-2016 academic session. The Rhode Scholarships are open to students from some African countries.

The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding all-round students at the University of Oxford, and providing transformative opportunities for exceptional individuals from the above named countries.


  • Each applicant must fulfill the residenceship requirements of the Rhode constituency for which they are applying.
  • Applicants must be between the age of 18 and 28 by 1st October.
  • Must have achieved academic standing sufficiently advanced to assure completion of a bachelor’s degree by the October following election.

DEADLINE: Starts from August 15, 2014 depending on the country.

Rotimi Olawale, co-founder of is a youth development expert. For more than six years he has been involved in leading youth advocacy efforts mainly around the Millennium Development Goals. In 2006, he represented Nigeria as a youth ambassador at the United Nations Global Youth Leadership Summit held at the UN Headquarters in New York.
